Donegal (In Progress)

Portraits of people and places in rural Donegal.

Overview

An ongoing short-form documentary anthology exploring Ireland’s north-west. Each chapter centres on a subject in rural Donegal, blending observation and conversation to trace the delicate exchange between the place and its people. Through these encounters, the series aims to compose a mosaic of rural Donegal shaped by imagination, memory, and solitude.

Module 01 — “Texas Ollie” (2026)

Ollie lives secluded on a wind-battered farm. Cowboy, musician, and horse whisperer, he turns daily routine into ongoing performance alongside his two horses Jojo and Rubio. Since 2023, I have been making recurring scouting trips mapping out his rhythms and documenting his routines.
